Grace Presbyterian Church is a congregation of the Presbyterian Church in America. We are committed to the Scriptures of the Old and New Testament as our sole authority, and believe that the Bible’s theology is best and most clearly expressed in the Westminster Standards. Below we offer a brief summary of our convictions:

The Bible

We believe that the Bible is the written word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit and without error in the original manuscripts. The Bible is the revelation of God’s truth and is infallible and authoritative in all matters of faith and practice.

Man and Sin

We believe that all people are sinners by nature, are guilty in God’s sight, and are totally unable to save themselves from God’s displeasure. His free grace alone provides a way of salvation.

Justification

We believe that the only way to acceptance with God is by God’s grace alone, through faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone.

The Church

Christ has established his church, and particular churches, to gather and perfect his people, by means of the ministry of the Word, the sacraments of baptism (which is to be administered to the children of believers, as well as believers) and the Lord’s Supper (in which the body and blood of Christ are spiritually present to the faith of believers), and the disciplining of members found delinquent in doctrine or life. Christians assemble on the Lord’s Day to worship God by praying, hearing the Word of God read and preached, singing songs, psalms and hymns, and receiving the sacraments.

The Trinity

We believe in the Holy Trinity. There is one God, infinite and unchanging, who exists eternally in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, who through His perfect obedience and sacrificial death as the representative and substitute of his people, atoned for the sins of all who would trust in Him alone for salvation.

The Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells God’s people and enables them to trust Christ and follow Him. Faith is the gracious gift of God that is given to us by the Holy Spirit.

Presbyterian Form of Church Government

We believe that the Bible teaches a Presbyterian form of church government. Under a Presbyterian or representative form of government, members of the local church are accountable to their session of elders, sessions are accountable to their local presbytery, and presbyteries are accountable to the General Assembly.
